What a great little place! Have been going to the Volks club for over a year. The staff are fantastic, very friendly esp Charlie. Drinks are reasonably priced and the venue stays open till 7am. Really looking forward to this new year eve event

If your looking for a great a night out look no further, this is the place, drum n bass, reggae, you name it, this is the place to be. The bar staff are amazing and the door security are amazing too, they look after you, they are friendly its great safe place to be. However, I have noticed over these past 3 or 4 weeks the lovely door man Thomas isn't there, I don't know if hes on holiday or anything, but I do miss his friendly face when approaching the club door. There was also one time I had a issue inside the club, I spoke with thomas whom sorted the issue out and made me feel calm and safe... I do hope to see him when I next go down there, he is part of the volks and I know hes been there many many years, he just has a welcoming friendly face, along with the rest of the door staff. All in all need a night out, the volks is the one.

Excellent venue. It’s really rare that you find security staff that make an experience at a club better, rather than worse. But Charlene was super nice and contributed to a really good atmosphere in the venue!

Absolutely unique and best vibes club in Brighton, proper music community loads of amazing drum and bass nights - also the staff make it - they are the best ! Always have such good vibes and the security woman that works there is an absolute Gem of a person.

Came for Mala's Deep Medhi Music event. Outstanding sound system and excellent bartending. The club seems untouched aesthetically since the 90s... Volks retains the essence of unpolished, unadulterated hardcore raving. The smaller club and bar downstairs adds to the mayhem. The fact they have been operational continuously for over 30 years speaks for itself.

Brilliant. Came down from the Midlands to see a mate, we went here, there's was a brilliant d n b night on, brilliant vibe, great music, djs and MC, not edgy atmosphere, lots of love.

Found this absolute gem of a club by chance in Brighton. Some of the filthiest drum and bass I've heard and worthy of a crowd ten times the size! Second night was psytrance and it was equally as awesome! Staff were friendly, happy to have a chat and made the experience even more great!

I came to Brighton last weekend to catch up with friends. We Visited Volks for it's Halloween Costumed bash... We had an amazing night, really good atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable bar prices. But the icing on the cake was the fabulous Security that were on duty throughout the night. One female member of staff was particularly outstanding, dealing with incidents in a professional yet polite manner and not breaking the good vibes within the Club...I felt well Safe....Top marks

Came here on the 14th of Feb for Degs and friends event. I'm 6 months pregnant but needed to come see degs before I have the baby :)! Bouncers were all lovely, guy who checked tickets was also nice. When we got in the security was great (the lady with the pink hair was amazing!! Dancing but also on the lookout) I felt looked after! Bar staff were all friendly even though it was packed at times. Good drum and bass venue, feels intimate as it's a smaller place. Really enjoyed myself!
